Jon Kyd looks to push on after 4-1 win

Mary Dendy 1982 Player Manager Jon Kyd has said that his team are a 'different' team compared to the last time they played their next opponents, Sandbach Town Ramblers. The last result between the two sides ended in a 4-0 triumph for the Ramblers. Jon believes that his side 'can compete' ahead of Saturday's AJ Cooke trophy quarter final match and that Mary Dendy 1982 'don't go into games expecting to lose anymore'.

"I don't feel as though we go into games expecting to lose, it feels like there's a confidence there."

"We're a different team now, a different mentality, we won't be going into the game expecting to lose, perhaps we have in the past, there's no reason why we should feel that way. We should certainly feel as though we are good enough to compete with them."

Myself and Jon also discussed the importance of versatility in the squad with players performing in positions they aren't used to such as Mark Robson playing striker, Fin Bunn playing in midfield and Brooklyn Minshull at left back.

"You need players who are flexible and versatile and can play in a number of positions and I think we're doing that and we've got that."

Finally we discussed new signing Jamie Sandlands who has made a huge impact at the back this season.

"Jamie brings experience and a bit of know how, he's also good at set pieces, good in the air, comfortable on the ball and a good talker at the back so yeah he was a good signing for us and he's slotted in well."

Logan Paul Set To Main Event Major WWE Show In Saudi Arabia

Youtuber Logan Paul is set to make another big appearance in the world of sports entertainment. The social media influencer is set to main event WWE crown Jewel on the 5th of November.

The co-owner of Prime hydration will be fighting the biggest star in the WWE Roman Reigns for the unified WWE world heavyweight championship.

This will not be the first time the YouTube star will enter the squared circle, as Logan has wrestled 2 times so far in WWE after signing with the company earlier this year. Both at WWE premium live events with 2 impressive performances at Wrestlemania and Summerslam respectively.

This was set up when the current main draw in WWE appaired on the Impulsive podcast hosted by Logan Paul where the seed was planted for the big time matchup.

After a appearance on this past weeks WWE Friday night smackdown to bring the main WWE audience up to speed,an LA press conference was set up to confirm the main event of the November show.

Although Logan has impressed the WWE audience in his other matches this is a big step that confused some fans questioning the logic of the title match. What is clear is WWE want to make the most of Logan's 23.6 million subscribers on YouTube hoping that they will tune in to the show for his matchup

It does show the trust and commitment that they are putting in the youtuber but it remains to be seen if he can step up to the spotlight.

F1: Monaco Grand Prix preview

Can Charles Leclerc end his woeful home race record?

The F1 races at one of the most historical tracks on the calendar this weekend in the streets of Monaco, but what can we expect from this week’s Grand Prix?

Monaco is a track that in the more modern eras of Formula 1 has become a dull track, due to its extremely narrow style and tricky corners, causing a lack of overtaking. Despite the race being seen as dull, the surroundings of the race track and popularity is one of the most entertaining on the calendar. So what can we expect this weekend’s race?

Mercedes to be strong again?

Mercedes have had a slow start to the 2022 season after winning 8 consecutive constructor’s championships, however as we saw in Spain, there have been some solutions to their previous issues. We saw less porpoising on the cars giving them a faster straight line speed, and this allowed them to take away 25 points from the Catalunya circuit. Despite their good result in Spain, Monaco is historically a track that Mercedes have struggled with in the past. Also, Mercedes showed slower corner speeds in Spain, so this will not help their chances of a good result in Monaco.

Red Bull to struggle with reliability again?

It’s no secret that Red Bull have a very strong car for the 2022 season, however with 3 mechanical DNFs and other problems already this season, we could see them have issues again.

Max Verstappen won the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, however he had a DRS issue in the race and on his final run of Q3, scuppering his chances of pole position. Despite the unreliability of Red Bull this season, they lead the constructor’s championship by 25 points, and Max Verstappen leads the driver’s championship by 5 points.

Leclerc to bounce back in his home race?

It’s been a brilliant season so far for Charles Leclerc as he challenges world champion Max Verstappen, however a mechanical failure in Spain, denying him of a 3rd win of the season, leaves the Monegasque driver 5 points adrift of Verstappen in the driver’s championship. Leclerc has struggled at his home race in the past, having not completed the race in his 3 attempts (2 DNFs 1 DNS). Leclerc certainly has the most suited car to perform well at Monaco, with the high downforce set up of the Ferrari proving to be strong in the corners.
